06-12-2022 Oops and Cupolas

As progress proceeded on the covered patios, our steel contractor noticed the side roof weren't aligning with the front roof line. After lots of analysis and measuring, I contacted the steel supplier. They confirmed the front column trusses were supposed to be 9'6", but they were manufactured to 9'0". After a lot of back and forth, we determined the best solution was to create a steel shim to add 5" to the bottom of the front column, Those will be in on Tuesday.  Also, check out the look of the cupolas. 06-19-2022 The Fix is In

Last post we reported that there were issues with the front patio truss height. We and Worldwide Steel came up with a solution to extend the column height by adding I Beam shim to the bottom of the column. The CEO of WWS was concerned about the look of the column, but we assured him it was not a problem since the trusses will all be enclosed and wrapped in stone.
